1. Mount the arm to your desk following the instructions included.
   
2. Attach your monitor to the VESA plate.
   
3. Use the installation tool that resides under cap on the base to adjust the tension adjustment screw (located at the elbow of the arm) to set resistance.
   
4. Turn the screw clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors and counterclockwise for lighter monitors.
   
5. Adjust until the monitor holds position at any height without drifting.
